Background Lore
The Northerners are a towering people of ice and sea. Hardened by brutal climates,
they value strength, honor, and survival above all else. Their culture revolves around clans,
longships, and coastal strongholds carved into frozen cliffs.
Once, the fertile lands that became King's Garden belonged to them.
They were displaced during human unification, a memory that still echoes in northern sagas.
Unlike dwarves, they do not dig deep. Unlike elves, they do not protect forests.
They conquer storms and endure them. They are territorial—but not cruel without cause.
Northerners respect elemental power but do not philosophize it.
A storm is a storm. Ice is a weapon. Blood spilled in battle is sacred memory.
Though not available as a starting race in the current island campaign,
a northern adventurer would seek glory, reclaim ancestral honor, or test strength against southern empires.
